ACTV waterbus for your mobility in Venice.
Official prices – No surcharges! – Skip the queue for vaporetto tickets!

The vaporetti will take you to all the interesting sights of Venice.
You know how it is: city breaks are often very tiring. The reason: many visitors try to explore everything on foot. In Venice, this is NOT possible. The neighboring islands of Lido, Murano, Burano, and Torcello are only accessible by boat. Large sections of the Grand Canal have NO promenade. Here, too, you’ll need a boat. And before you spend hundreds of euros on a water taxi, consider buying a ticket for the water buses, called vaporetti.
There’s often a lot going on in the city!

Unfortunately, not all boats are as empty as in this picture.
The most important line 1

For you as a tourist, Line 1 is the most important and interesting. It runs from the parking garages at Piazzale Roma, the train station, the Rialto Bridge, St. Mark’s Square, the Biennale, to the Lido and back. A ride right through the Grand Canal allows you to see many of the sights and comfortably take lots of beautiful photos from your seat.
The stops

The stops are easy to find. You don’t need to study the exact timetable. During the day, a boat on line 1 arrives every few minutes.

Our tip

Like any city tour, exploring Venice on foot can quickly become tiring. This is especially true on warm summer days. Take a short break and enjoy a tour on bus lines 42 or 41: from Venice to Murano and back, passing the port, train station, St. Mark’s Square, Giudecca, the Biennale, the cemetery, and more. This tour is practically a must for photographers. You’ll not only find countless subjects, but you’ll also gain a real appreciation for Venice’s unique island setting.
